How Deltarack’s Transport Carts Improve Thys-Zedreno’s Productivity

Deltarack, a Belgian company specializing in smart transport solutions for the panel processing industry, offers innovative transport carts that help businesses save time and improve efficiency. One of their satisfied customers is Thys-Zedreno, a woodworking company from Kapellen. Owner Tom Thys explains how these carts have had a significant impact on their daily operations.

Efficiency in the Production Process

Thys-Zedreno is a woodworking company focused on custom-made furniture, specializing in kitchens, wardrobes, bedroom cabinets, and bathroom furniture. “We work with panel materials and veneer daily in our workshop in Kapellen,” says Tom Thys. “With a team of three, we produce everything in-house. Every week, at least one large custom kitchen leaves our workshop.”

Thanks to Deltarack’s TG80.180 transport carts, Thys-Zedreno’s team has seen a notable improvement in efficiency. “Previously, we used Euro pallets to transport cabinets, but that came with some challenges,” Tom explains. “We always needed a forklift to move the pallets and often had to bend down to lift the pieces off the pallet, which was not only time-consuming but also led to damage during transport.”

Safe and Efficient Transport

The TG80.180 transport carts provide a solution to these issues. “With these carts, the panels stand firmly upright in our vans or on trailers,” says Tom. “We simply lock the wheels and know everything will stay secure. A bit of plastic wrap around the panels, and we’re assured of safe transport to the site. Additionally, we can now easily transport an entire kitchen in one go. We load a few carts into the van, the rest on the trailer, and everything comes along.”

The TG80.180 carts are designed with durability and ease of use in mind. “We sometimes load up to 600 to 700 kilos of panel material on them, and it’s no problem. The quality of the wheels and the construction is excellent, which means the carts are robust enough for heavy use. Transporting panels with these carts saves us a huge amount of time.”

Innovations with the Brush Cart

Thys-Zedreno also uses Deltarack’s TLB80.150 brush carts. These carts are designed to hold panels upright, similar to books in a bookshelf, with soft brushes that protect the panels from rubbing against each other. “We primarily use these carts to sort finished panels and to let glued pieces dry over the weekend,” says Tom. “Thanks to the neat organization, we can quickly find any piece and keep our work efficient.”

Word-of-Mouth and Collaboration

Deltarack’s transport carts have not only improved Thys-Zedreno’s work process but have also received positive feedback from their peers. “Woodworkers who order custom furniture from us notice how easy the carts are to use, and many of them have since ordered transport carts from Deltarack themselves,” Tom shares. “Word-of-mouth works very well here.”

Deltarack also offers customization options, such as printing company names on the carts. “It gives a professional look when we arrive at a customer’s site,” concludes Tom. “It’s the small details that make the difference, and Deltarack’s carts are increasingly recognized for their quality and functionality.”
